Recipe-bran muffins

Great Grandma’s Bran Muffin Recipe

1cup Milk
1tsp Vinegar
1 ½ cups bran
1/3 cups canola oil
1 egg
1/3 cups brown sugar (Also good without)
1 cup flour (I always use part whole wheat flour in my recipes)
Tsp baking soda and a tsp of baking powder
¼ tsp salt

400 degrees for 20-25 minutes

Mix milk and vinegar and let sit until milk is sour, then mix in bran. After a few more minutes have lapsed, add all wet ingredients, then dry, then raisons. Let sit for a few minutes in the muffin pan, to get then extra fluffy.

** Substitution: Add a mashed banana in place of some of the milk, a bit of vanilla and frozen cranberries instead of the raisons.
